A key element of our work is to ensure that our knowledge and understanding of ancient trees is shared as widely as possible. One way we do this is by running regular events to which everyone is welcome.
We hold free field events twice a year (in the Spring and Autumn) at which experts and amateur enthusiasts get together to enjoy, learn about and discuss ancient trees and their management at sites across the UK. We aim to move around the UK, and recent locations for our field events have included Bradgate Park in Leicestershire, Newnham Park in Devon and Maesllwch Castle and Cwm Byddog in Wales,
We also hold a two-day summer forum every year which includes outdoor field visits as well as indoor conference-style sessions where expert presentations are given and discussed. In recent years sites we have visited include Dartmoor, Knepp Castle in West Sussex, and Perth and the Cairngorms in Scotland.
It is always essential to book onto our events, and places tend to fill up quickly.
