Books
On these pages you will find links to a number of books which the Ancient Tree Forum and its partners have produced.
We welcome people citing our work, however, the complexity of the technical management of AoVTs means that we always encourage full reading of the ATF’s own work, rather than any abridged or interpreted versions in other publications.
The ATF does not take responsibility for inaccurate citing, use of material or other inconsistencies that other publishers might make, even when our name has been referenced.
Unless we have approved our logo for use on another publication and host that publication on our website, citing of our work in another organisation’s work does not constitute approval of their interpretation or content.

Ancient and other veteran trees: further guidance on management
Edited by David Lonsdale
Softback or e-book - published in February 2013.
This 212 page handbook from the Ancient Tree Forum brings together the collective wisdom on the management of ancient and veteran trees for the benefit of owners, advisers and practitioners. It is a new, updated standard for the care and management of ancient and other veteran trees, which will serve those who own and manage old trees for decades to come. The book recognises that, alongside the appreciation of old trees, there are responsibilities for their continuity, protection and care.
This book is available to download for FREE as a PDF e-book. It is our ethos as a not for profit organisation to make information available as freely as possible but if you wish to make a donation to support the Ancient Tree Forum, any contribution would be most gratefully received.
