NEW DATE Ancient Tree Recording Bishop’s Court, Sowton, East Devon – Sunday 30 September 2018

NEW DATE – SUNDAY 30 September 2018

Are you able to help the Project of Great Trees in the Clyst Valley this Sunday? This project is managed by East Devon District Council and has been made possible through the generous support of The Heritage Lottery Fund, National Trust, Woodland Trust, Devon County Council, Environment Agency Devon Gardens Trust, Parishes Together, and E.ON

Great Trees in the Clyst Valley

This coming Sunday, 23rd September 9.30-13.30 they are recording ancient and veteran trees at Bishop’s Court, Sowton. This is a beautiful historic landscape of parkland surrounding a medieval bishop’s palace. They could really do with some more volunteers to help them.

Why not come along and enjoy a fun and interesting outdoor activity, and contribute records to the national Ancient Tree Inventory (for more on the inventory, see the Woodland Trust website here).

They would welcome both newcomers to tree recording, and those folk who are already experts, or have attended one of their training days.

Equipment and training will be provided.

Do get in touch if you would like to attend, or you would like to know more please email jfreeman@eastdevon.gov.uk
