ATF East Anglia visit to Melford Hall
Location: Long Melford, Suffolk
Join the ATF East Anglia group for an afternoon walk led by Robert Adams, a National Trust Volunteer, around the grounds of Melford Hall.
Melford Hall stands within extensive grounds dating back over a thousand years, originally belonging to the Abbots of St Edmundsbury, with the hall a more recent (500 year old) modification of the original building.
The parkland, much of which is not normally open to the public, contains several ancient oaks, one of which may be a champion tree for Suffolk, and will be measured on the day.
No dogs are allowed as there are sheep grazing much of the grounds.
This is a booking-only event, and the number who can attend is limited to 40. Places will allocated be on a first come, first served basis.
To reserve a place please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
You will then be sent details with the time and place for meeting, together with a risk assessment.
