The Northumbria Veteran Tree Project are delighted to announce that their National Heritage Lottery Fund bid has been successful!

It is their aim to engage as many people as possible in a celebration of the region’s most amazing and significant ancient, veteran and notable trees. So if you live in the Northumberland, Newcastle Upon Tyne or North Tyneside region keep a look out for their website, it is nearly live!

You too can be a part of this amazing project and help ensure our regions trees are not only celebrated today but indeed might be celebrated for generations to come.

The official project launch date is Friday the 31st of August 2018 at Kirkley Hall, Ponteland, which is a beautiful 17th century estate owned and managed by Northumberland College. All ATF members are duly invited, please contact nick.johnson@nortland.ac.uk if you wish to attend and he will confirm details.
